Prospective Faculty
Faculty in the department of chemical and
biological engineering specialize and hold interests in many areas of
research. We encourage faculty interested in working for the department to

Illinois Institute of Technology, Department
of Chemical and Biological Engineering and the National Center for Food
Safety & Technology (NCFST) invite applicants for a tenure-track
Assistant Professor position in the Department of Chemical and Biological
Engineering, available starting Fall 2008. The department seeks an
individual with an outstanding academic record who is dedicated to
excellence in education and research. Applicants must demonstrate the
potential to lead and attract funds for a high caliber research program. The
candidate must have a Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering or related engineering
area, experience in food process engineering, and must have at least one
degree in Chemical Engineering. The candidate will be expected to conduct
research and teaching activities in the general field of biological
engineering and collaborate with NCFST scientists on food-processing related
funded research projects. Preferred areas of interest are bio-nutrition
and/or bioseparations.
