» Current Research Activities

Materials Development

Main filed of interest is the selection, manufacturing and electrochemical characterization of new materials and electrodes for electricity storage, in particular in electrochemical capacitors. Characterization techniques used are, XRD, BET, ICP-AES, EIS, charge - discharge, cycling and CV.

Fabrication Technology

Technologies of interest for fabrication of (ceramic) electrode structures, e.g. printing, casting, sintering, spraying and methods of nano-technology.

Supercapacitors

Development of pseudo-capacitance materials and electrodes, high-energy devices and integration in fuel cell power systems and drive lines.

Fuel Cell Systems for Small Vehicles

Development of power and driveline systems with PEM fuel cells and supercapacitors for scooters, e-bikes and other small vehicles.

Energy Storage

Studies on storage of electricity for mobile and stationary applications.
